• Founded in 2001, Nvision Palm Desert is led by Richard Burns, M.D., who has performed more than 20,000 refractive and cataract procedures. Dr. Burns specializes in cataract surgery and is recognized as the top surgeon on the west coast for implementation of the Restor lens.\n\nBeing in Palm Desert, this center specializes in seniors, including both local residents and “snowbirds,â€� who are escaping colder climates for the warm desert winters. Nvision Palm Desert focuses primarily on cataract surgery and laser vision correction surgery for patients 45 years old and older. It also caters to the needs of military personnel based in the area and works closely with each patient’s commanding officer to accommodate his or her specific requirements.
