OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE: On August 25, 2010, at 11:00pm, Spokane County Sheriff's Office Deputy Brian Hirzel, checked out on a prowl check in the area of 14100 block of East 4th Ave, Spokane Valley. Deputy Hirzel parked his patrol car in the parking lot of the Plant Farm, 14208 East 4th Ave. Just after 11pm, there was a confrontation between the business owner, Wayne Scott Creach and Deputy Hirzel.
